Surprising Effects Of Dark Chocolate

Dark chocolate, what do you think loaded with calories?  Obesity? Unhealthy? If that is what you think then you are mistaken. After hearing about dark chocolate the initial thought that crosses our mind is that dark chocolate is unhygienic. We have stereotyped it as dangerous to our health.

In case of milk chocolate , our perception is that it is mild sweet and comparatively low in calories over thinking contradicts the reality the truth is that dark chocolate can actually help you reduce weight in other words it can help fight you against obesity this concept is surprising but this is the truth a good quality dark chocolate provides almost the same benefits as most leafy green vegetables do a major reason why people become victims of obesity is that they eat  unhealthy snacks between meals and that leads to over eating. This happens because people don’t have a feeling of satiety. Thus reductions in food cravings between meals can help stop over-eating so food that promotes feelings of fullness can be important for weight loss.

Dark chocolate reduces the digestion and absorption of fats and carbohydrates and as a result the person eating the chocolate experience the feeling of satiety. Three hormones namely insulin, ghrelin, and leptin control appetite. Insulin functions as the carrier of sugar from bloodstream to the cell in your body.  Ghrelin is produced to increase your desire of food. People who are insulin resistant lose the ability to feel fully satisfied.

A study performed in Netherlands states that dark chocolate decreases insulin resistance and lowers the level of gherlin. The fat content of dark chocolate is flabbergasting. It does not contain saturated fats. Saturated fats that are consumed are placed in storage cell and form deposits in the body leading to obesity. Milk chocolates on the other hand contain around 20% saturated fats. The good fats contained in dark chocolate are essential when it comes to weight loss.

Other contributing factors are that it encourages exercise. The anti inflammatory constituents in chocolate along with the magnesium leave your body feeling less pain.

So when your body feels good, exercise becomes more appealing. also that the polyphenols in dark chocolate have an enlightened and profound effect on a person’s sense of well being so when you feel good you turn to eat less to sleek comfort.
