Teenage Crushes - a sheer Distraction

Ouch! The cupid arrow strikes and one is head over heels in love with one of the faces in the crowd. That's the beauty (or should I say ugliness) of Love at First Sight. It does not give you the chance to weigh your odds or work up anything. It just hits you right in the face and you are drooling over that person whom you saw in the street. You get all jittery and fuzzy when that 'special one' walks past you or is in the same place where you are. Your friends make fun of you and tease you but your feelings for that person are so strong that none of it really matters! It seems like a very powerful love potion is at work! Wherever you are-at home, at school, hanging out with friends, you are only thinking about that one person who has stolen your heart and drawn all of your attention towards him/her.

These are just the preproblems of teenage love. That person doesn't even know that you are wasting so much of your precious time thinking about him/her. These results in lack of attention and interest in everything, you begin to lose focus on studies, your grades start to fall, your parents get irritated because you are not paying attention to whatever they are saying. In short, all that mattered to you is just on the backseat of the orities of your life and that special one is all that matters. Trying to clear your head and getting yourself out of this mess, you figure that expressing your feelings to that person is the only way out.

After days and days of lurking outside that person's classroom . thought of saying 1 Love. And than you just vanish from the spot into than air cursing yourself for even trying out something that stupid. So, not a very good first impression! Next day, you are all chocked up about Yesterday's bad experience and are too .

distracted care about any litthine. Now all the impressionable intros conic to your mind and you regret all . You will have to clear up all the mess that you have made while you have been physically present but mentally absent from quite. make up for your loss and improve your grades. You would have to request your friends to help you out with your notes and assignments. You will have to ask your teachers to excuse you for your non-serious attitude in the class. You will have to set things right with your parents and family and earn back their trust and attention. In a nutshell,  you will have to give double the energy and the amount of time to put things back on track.

All this discussion boils down. Once should he very clear in one's head about his/her priorities and do things accordingly. Teenage is not the age of having affairs!! It is the time in one's life which is the most crucial for one's future. Your future depends on the decisions that you make right now. So one must keep such things for later and focus on the things that are actually going to matter in life. Honestly, I have never come across a couple who dated each other in their teens and ended up getting married. So we should focus on the academics in this age. Once you get into a professional college.
